Alabama Constitution Party endorses Matt Chancey for President of the Public Service Commission
The Alabama Constitution Party, an independent state political party working to return government to the citizens, has endorsed Matt Chancey for President of the Public Service Commission (PSC).
Elected officials are to be servants to the people. Alabama citizens have declared in their Alabama Constitution of 1901, which is state law, "That the sole object and only legitimate end of government is to protect the citizen in the enjoyment of life, liberty, and property, and when the government assumes other functions it is usurpation and oppression." Matt Chancey understands this constitutional duty and having a servant's heart, if elected President of PSC, is committed to serving the citizens of Alabama in this manner.
The Public Service Commission (PSC) is required by law to provide a fair process in regulating utilities so that regulated companies make a good profit and consumers get a good rate for their services. The Alabama Constitution Party believes Matt Chancey is the person needed in overseeing these requirements.
Matt, a native of Enterprise and running on the Republican ticket, resides in Chelsea with his wife, Jenny, and their children. A communication and marketing specialist, he has also fought all tax increase schemes at every level of government and strongly opposes annual real estate tax appraisals in Alabama. He and his wife have been small business owners for over ten years.
Matt Chancey has a sound Five-Point Plan to improve the Alabama Public Service Commission. As President of the Public Service Commission, one of his goals is to 'examine PSC performance for the last twenty years and determine whether the policies developed, regulations enacted, and practices implemented have had a positive impact on Alabama consumers.'
The Alabama Constitution Party believes the President of the Public Service Commission is an important office to serve the citizens. And, like Matt, we believe implementing Matt Chancey's Five-Point Plan will begin restoring the much needed consumer confidence in the Public Service Commission, as well as creating an environment that’s profitable for the utility industry, but especially for the Alabama consumer.

"History is important. Why? History is nothing less than the outworking of God's eternal decree in time. History has a definite beginning and a definite ending. All history is God's history. If you want to understand the issues of today, you must grasp the issues of yesterday. Here in America the South has always contended for righteousness and truth, why? Why is the South known as the Bible belt? The principles for which the South contended in 1776 and in 1861 are the same principles that are being contended for today." ~Pastor John Weaver, History and Southern Heritage, DominionMinistry.com |
